Argentine Airport Police Officer Arrested in Suspected Dating-App Robbery

Lucía Fernanda Díaz Da Mota, 31, an officer with Argentina’s Airport Security Police (PSA), was arrested at her home in Ezeiza on June 25, 2026. She is accused of aggravated robbery under the scheme locally known as “viuda negra.”

Investigators allege that Díaz Da Mota met a 64-year-old man through Bumble and accompanied him to his apartment in Quilmes after dinner. The victim reportedly lost consciousness after drinking a beverage and later discovered that cash, euros, watches, clothing, perfumes and other valuables were missing.

Security-camera footage, telephone geolocation and social-media evidence allegedly helped investigators identify her. Authorities reportedly seized phones, watches, suitcases and other potentially relevant items during a search of her residence. She remains accused, and the allegations have not been proven in court.

Beware of Dating App Scams

An airport security officer in Argention was arrested for running a life-threatening dating scam.

News broke across the internet during the last week of June.

A 31-year-old Lucia Fernanda Diaz Da Mota found men on dating apps, take them to dinner, go home with them, drug their drinks until they passed out and robbed them of watches, phones, perfume, and luggage.

Security cameras caught her entering an elevator with a 64-year old victim while kissing him. It’s believed that about 2 hours later she drugged his drink. Once certain the man was unconscious, she filled a large suitcase with a substantial amount of cash, credit cards, expensive watches, luxury perfumes, and branded clothes found in the apartment, and quickly fled.

The victim was in a coma about 24 hours later after neighbors checked on him.

When investigators raided Diaz Da Mota’s home they found luxury watches, men’s cologne, and suitcases believed to belong to multiple victims.

She was arrested at Ezeiza Airport while on psychiatric leave and authorities are now investigating whether she was working alone or part of a larger criminal network.
